Introducing Renovo: The sustainable replacement for plastic gift cards
Everyone knows reducing plastic waste is a big win for the environment, but paper gift cards sometimes feel so…flimsy. That’s why we created Renovo, the new paper substrate designed as a sustainable, recyclable alternative to plastic for gift cards. Renovo cards fit seamlessly into your existing gift card infrastructure: they are the same size, thickness and rigidity as traditional plastic substrates.
Renovo starts with a high-thickness, 30-point paper card made from recycled materials and formatted following ISO/IEC 7810 guidelines. We add our innovative card coating, which offers additional strength, protection and versatility
to the card.
Once coated, the Renovo card offers the highest level of water and moisture resistance available in the global paper card market. The Renovo card feels and prints just like a plastic card—it even supports magnetic stripes, signature
panels and scratch-off labels. The coating offers options for various printing methods, including traditional offset, flexographic and digital platforms, including HP Indigo.
