Monadnock Paper Mills (MPM) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Services Team in Bennington, N.H., as a scheduler / planner.
Role:
You will be responsible for effectively scheduling our various production machines in the mill, working with internal colleagues to optimize output and fill customer requests. This position works closely with the commercial and manufacturing departments to schedule orders to meet customer needs while balancing machine efficiencies and inventory levels. The right candidate will maintain on-going dialog with the Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure proactive communication; Developing weekly paper machine and coater schedules, as well as outside converting requirements including lamination, sheeting and finishing.
Education & Experience:
Experience related to customer service, production scheduling, inventory management, and sales. BS/BA and/or 10-15 years’ professional experience preferred.
SENIOR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST
Monadnock Paper Mills (MPM) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join their technical team in Bennington, NH as Senior Research and Development Scientist.
Role:
You will be responsible for efficiently developing new products by connecting market needs with technical know-how. You would bring new technologies to bear by staying abreast of current application processes and new developments. You will look for opportunities to improve our current grades by focusing on value to customer and reducing cost to deliver the same. You will actively work with our operations team and ensure smooth scale up and commercialization of new products. You will quickly establish yourself as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to the business.
Day in the life of:
Efficiently plan and conduct experimentation for modifying existing or developing new products. Utilize tools such as Stage Gate to develop and meet milestones in a timely manner. Provide the commercial team with technical guidance on product performance and participate as required in discussions to elicit customer needs and translate into actionable information.
Provide direction to research team and peer group to efficiently prioritize laboratory work and design? experimental methodology to efficiently arrive at results and conclusions. Efficiently document progress and provide reports as appropriate to key stakeholders.
Use and improve current project documentation system and provide guidance on prioritization of key initiatives with concurrence from stake holders.
Use a safe work culture as a cornerstone of all laboratory work and be proactive in seeking ways to improve our safety culture.
Education & Experience:
Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or allied fields is required. Five years of experience in developing new products for paper and packaging markets is required.
Formulation experience is preferred.
What will put you ahead:
Ph.D in the above fields with five plus years of experience. Leading project teams from conception to successful commercialization of products. Training in project management or similar would be a plus.
