Waste to Wonderful
Short paper fiber is wood fiber that is just too small to remain on the paper machine during production. Resource Management, Inc. (RMI) takes about 1.3 million pounds of that waste each year and converts it into compost, soil amendment, and animal bedding, moving us much closer to our objective of zero waste to landfill.
“Our partnership with RMI saves us the expense of handling, transporting and disposal,” says Maloy.
Easy to Use
WasteWise is easy to use. You can establish a baseline, set reduction goals, and track progress year over year. Inputs to WasteWise include plastics, metal, paper and glass, recycling and using recycled materials. If your organization has the capacity to quantify these materials, you are ready to plug in and get started.
